I am delighted to hear that work has begun on the new state of the art Community Endoscopy Unit in Swindon. When finished, this facility will be able to facilitate another 6,000 diagnostic appointments every year, helping to reduce the burden on hospitals and ensure that patients can be treated faster.
The new Community Diagnostic Centre will be based next to the Link Centre, and is one of three new centres opening across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. With all going to plan, it will be open to patients in around six months' time.
