Yesterday, I spoke in the Public Health debate. I recognise the challenge ministers have in striking a balance between clarity of message and flexibility around particular circumstances, and between local and national measures. Overall, I argued that our response to the public health crisis needs less big government and big business and more trust in people, places and local professionals.
