Danny Kruger, Conservative candidate for the Devizes Constituency welcomed the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, the Rt Hon Matt Hancock to the site of the Devizes Integrated Care Centre (ICC).
Danny discussed with the Secretary of State the government’s commitment to the much-needed centre following the recent approval of the business case.
The new £10m centre, which is to be built on land adjacent to the Treatment Centre in Marshall Road, will provide modern, fit-for-purpose healthcare premises for the people of the Devizes community area, as well as 50 new homes, some of which will be reserved for healthcare keyworkers.
Danny Kruger, who welcomes the local support and backs the campaign for the much-needed centre said:
‘We are incredibly fortunate to have the wonderful NHS and it was brilliant to meet the Secretary of State today to discuss the Conservative’s NHS Long Term Plan and also the fantastic long-awaited GP led Integrated Care Centre at the Marshall road site in Devizes which recently had its business case approved.
It is the Conservative party who are funding the NHS and investing in our healthcare infrastructure.’
Danny looks forward to work commencing at the site. Building is due to start in 2020 and the centre will open in late 2021 or early 2022.
