This is exactly the model of care we should be providing - effectively living in 'villages' or community housing , rather than isolated within the general population - but it's currently opposed by the CQC.
I was delighted to be involved in the (successful!) campaign to save Furlong Close in my old constituency, and will continue to support Our Life Our Choice in their campaign to rethink policy for supporting people living with severe learning disabilities and/or autism in new and existing congregate care settings.
